I'm going camping tomorrow! I haven't been actually *camping* in forever. I have done related activities, like larp, or like renfest camping, but not go to a park and set up a tent and explore around, in many years. Although I think it will not be a ton of hardcore exploring - there are a few trails, and a beach. I'm bringing Jola though, so that should be fun! Anyway, I hope that it all goes smooth, as Nary is not a Camping type person and is basically just indulging me <3

We're leaving around noon tomorrow after we pck up some stuff at the store. Wheee! But also obviously I won't be around to post stuff, so peace out, friends!

Me and a friend are considering a short-notice, short-term camping trip somewhere in the state so we can see a bit more of it, get out of town, and, well, go camping! Any suggestions for somewhere with nice hiking where I could bring my puppy?

side of bah - i spent all morning running around getting my SSHRC application ready to mail only to learn that there is no mail service today because of Veterans Day, which was actually yesterday. I didn't need to leave the house at all, and instead I was rushing all over the place! On the upside, I learned the application doesn't have to be there by the 15th, it just needs to be postmarked by then. And it is all ready to go, so Win!

Shame I have to miss LotA, but it should be good times :D

I have had adventures tonight. I went to Best Buy, where I acquired a 500gig external hard drive, thereby more than quintupling my data storage space, wooooh! I also finally caved and bought myself a webcam. And the unrated version of Orgasmo. I met earis at school, thinking to drag her along. We wound up getting turned around (my fault -_-) and taking the loooong way to Best Buy. then i had to find the product in question, and then look at movies, and then decided that since I was there I should get the webcam I've been considering for some time now. Which took me a while. We started walking back, and once we were a good 5-10 min away, I realized that they had over charged me, the fuckers! So I had to go back. Claire went back to school though, as she had things to do. Well. The return took longer than it probably needed to. It turns out that the tags were done wrong, so I actually wound up paying *less* for a higher end product, wooh! But then i had to get home. i didn't think I could get to the bus on time for it's hourly run (in the evenings after 6 they run on the quarter hour.... but until midnight, so, sweet). So i decided to walk. It's about 45 min. But I'd already gone swimming today, and then walked out there (the long way), and now I was carrying all this crap.... I was just starting down Anderson (the very long street on which I live), when an angel of mercy descended from the heavens to deliver me! Well, okay, it was tethys123 who was driving by and saw me, and gave me a lift home. But she was lookin' saucy, and I'm sure there are jealous angels out there ;) So then I got home and got to play with the shiiiiiny! The hard drive was a cinch to get up and running. It fills me with joy. Think of how much stuff I can pirate now! :V The webcam, conversely, was a bitch and a half to get set up, because XP was hiding all the necessary drivers. I called the support line, and that one time the install stuff gave me all completely different error messages than it had previously. So I tried messing around with it some more on my own, and eventually found a link on a message board that told me where the drivers were hiding. Of course I had to figure out that it was drivers that were missing, first off, but after I got that sorted, it was smoooooth sailing! So yes, I am now web enabled. Saucy! Now I just wanna chill out for a bit. Hey, I guess I could watch Orgasmo... :D
