Woke up early this morning and killed time watching crappy TV until it was time for Game 1: Faust. Went really well - I really like my character a lot. He's a right jerk, but also not a bad person. Not a *great* person, necessarily, but hey... he's fun.

Around noon, I decided I would blow my wad in Paradise on my last day. I took the water taxi over to the island, and then wandered to the Marina Village for lunch at Johnny Rockets. I had a chocolate peanut butter milkshake and a diet-breaking bacon cheeseburger, because hell - it was the last day of my vacation. I almost got it with a veggie burger for 2$ more to be good, and then realized that it didn't matter with the bacon, and getting cheese on the regular veggie burger (sand bacon) would be more expensive. This is the kind of place that charges $1.25 for a slice of cheese, the lousy bums. Well not so lousy - it was worth it, but you don't even want to know what I paid for that shake, I'm telling you! No Kidding! (For the record, I finished reading Catcher in the Rye today and it is one of those books with a really infectious style, so i I continue saying/writing no kidding all the time and saying that things are crumby and lousy and people are goddamned phony jerks, that is why. Good ass book.)

After lunch, I decided to wander through Atlantis. I wasted some moneys (not much though) in the slot machine, knowing full well that I was wasting it. And then I just wandered inside. I tell ya, it is hell of a shame I didn't have my camera with me because that place is *swanky*. All marble floors and whatever, with all this aquatic animal theme is copper and bronze with red sandstone and whatever. They have a bit you can see that is like a fake sunken city. You have to buy a ticket to see the whole display though. They call it The Dig, and that's what it is - a fake archaeological site, It's pretty cool, really, they did a damned good job. I wish I'd had my camera because it looks like something out of LotA. And they didn't have any cool souvenirs in the same style at all, which blows because that would have rocked out and i would have spend even more of my wad there. the ticket I bought was to see the Dog and also to see all the other marine exhibits, not to use the waterslides or go on their beach though. that ticket is 105$/person if you aren't staying there, and that is a horses ass. I have no idea if that expression really makes sense there, but take it or leave it, it is what you get! After I wandered all around and looked at all the fish and the sunken fake ruins (I say fake because they were, but they looked as cool as shit), I got myself a pina colada and went to the beach. It was pretty late then, so I only went swimming for a bit before I sat down to dry in the sun and try not to get my legs more burned. But it was hot so I didn't stay long even then because my legs hurt from being burnt yesterday, even with a zillion layers of 45+ sunblock.

I waited for a taxi back after I wandered back through the resort and back across the island to the bridge, and I read more there too 9I also read at the beach). Then I came right back to the hotel and showered finished my book and did some packing before Exia. That game also went really well. I feel like my character has grown a lot in the course of the game, which has gone like 53 (okay exactly 53) sessions, and also that things are going a lot better in general these past couple of sessions. Anyway, I check out tomorrow at 12, but I have some things I want to do in the morning still, so i am gog to try not to stay up until a million o'clock.

Looking forward to getting hoe, and I hope it is no big hassle! I worry my bag will be over weight, but I guess we'll see.
