Ooof, what a year! But I was very happy with Yuletide, where I got two lovely stories and I managed to create far more than I have all year otherwise.

I made a Yuletide Reveals post on my writing journal if anyone is interested but doesn't already read that.

And then because my ambition is on a high lately, I signed up for a bingo card for the fan-flashworks bingo! I can't believe the comm is sever years old, that's bananas! I haven't done too much with it in a while, but I've been following there basically since it started :3

I made my reveals post over at my writing journal, for the curious.

I am trying to decide what, if anything, I want to start next. I do want to do Chocolate Box, and I worry that if I start something else first I won't have time to finish it and it will just get pushed onto my mile of things I'm basically never going to finish at this point. But also I don't have clear thoughts on what I wan to request or offer for chocolate box either. Mostly I just feel like I should be writing *something*, but I don't have any particular inspiration.

I mean, there are some Diablotin stories I've been vaguely considering. And I could probably come up with more fannish ideas? But I don't know. Probably if I sat down to it I could make something go, but it is hard to start with so little. And if I'm being honest my focus and motivation are also low. Maybe What I ought to do is try and do a letter for chocolate box, and sort out what I want, and worry about writing something else after it's over.

I'm open to ideas though, if there are things people want to see me write for whatever reason, or things you think I could work on, or that I am good at and you want to read. Or something. Alternately read and nit forever?

I was Very Sick over Christmas.

I just made a short post about my Many Murderbot Yuletide gifts though, over here. I was yuletide spoiled!

I will try to make a decent reveals post, but no promises. Props to anyone who can guess this yuletide's theme, though!

Merry Christmas to those of you who are Christmas-having types! I am a Christmas-having type and mine was very merry, with family and food and Yuletide (THREE GIFTS! All Murderbot :3)and so on. But I'm sick, that's less awesome...

But A good day and a week off work, so I am not complaining!

Also it snowed a LOT in the past few days, which was lovely as I don't have anywhere to be and get to walk the dogs in it but not actually shovel anything.

Wooh!

I'm being eaten by Christmas and Yuletide. ON the point of the latter, I have written over 10k this season @_@ Probably that's all? Maybe some drabbles? I dunno!

Work continues bananas cray, and will be until... forever. We are merging wth the museum, which was supposed to happen in a year and a half and instead is happening in May. So yeah. I'm lucky it wasn't pushed to Jan 1 @_@

I went to the Powwow at the museum today, and it was fun! I mostly wanted to go to some of the workshops and talks and such, but I missed a few of them. I caught the end of the one on the medicine wheel, and the end of the one on traditional harvest stuff. I did catch the whole one on traditional food, but a native dietitian, which was neat, and most of the one on corn as well, and in general I learned a lot throughout the day, which was my goal. The only things I bought were a taco and some quilt raffle tickets for one of the indigenous support services places that has some cool programs.

Then I came home and fell asleep for a while, because it was quiet and I hadn't had tea (and I even survived the day without much of a caffeine headache, wooh!) The kids were having a sleepover, which meant pizza for dinner, and then I did a little bit of RP for Underworld, and a whooole lot of tag modding for Yuletide! We've gone through maybe... 1/3 of the tags, but we start with the easy stuff so that doesn't mean too much. I'll do some more before or after game, or both. But for now, I'm ired and my allergies are acting up (I hope), so it is bedtime!
