I love this - I love the character and this is a wonderful deeper look into some of the things from the episode focusing on Ji-Ah. Do mind the tags, and also brace yourself for a gut punch at the end.

I also love this, which really got the vibe of knitting gothic perfect, and feels so true to universal knitting experiences! And turned out to be written by a friend who *also* was my teaswap sender and who send me many wonderful delicious things, so all in all I felt very spoiled by the treat! I'm glad to see it has gotten a lot of attention, because it deserved it for sure! Not that my other gift didn't, but it is decidedly less of a broad appeal.
Things I wrote/created!
My main assignment was... basically someone asking for the same thing that I received - something about Ji-Ah (or Christina/Ruby, though I think the end put them off that one a bit). So I wrote a little something between where we saw her at the end of her episode and her showing up at Lettie's, where she meets someone who tries to make friends, The title, uh... well, it made sense to me? Something about air travel, and character development >.>

I also picked up a pinch hit for what has probably become my biggest fandom this year... BEARS! Literal bears. I love them so much. I nommed them, and then was pleased that there were not only other *noms* for the bears of Katmai National Park, but also other offers. I'd actually already started on a bears related treat (bear with me, it's next on the list), and dithered over whether I should take it.... and then I was struck by inspiration. I'm glad I did because I think this story turned out really fucking cute! I am glad that either of the bears pieces were found though, as they got wrangled directly to the RPF tag, because there wasn't anywhere else to put them, and therefore were basically invisible on the fandom list. Bad news for these bears, but maybe good news for the future, as I think wranglers are discussing how to better handle these kinds of fandoms on the future, and I know the bears aren't the first to run into it. So - thanks wranglers! Fingers crossed for a good solution :3

The next one was the Treat That Ate My Life, but in a good way! I was perusing letters back before assignments ever went out and saw someone who had a Bears request who also was open to Interactive Fiction and something in my brain just clicked. And so I looked into twine, and then I fell into a deep bears-shaped hole. The community on explore.org is amazing, and there are people who do daily updates that record which bears are scene, who screen grab all kinds of interesting interactions, who maintain a wiki about the various bears. Even limiting myself to just 2020 there was A LOT of material to work with.... and a lot I wanted to show! I did not fit it all in, and of course it got more and more elaborate as I went on, whew! So this was a lot of work, but also really stands on the backs of other bear fans, but I'm super proud of it! This is what it looks like in Twine, where it has 91 different passages (I just counted).

The last one was me realized that I had posted everything else and still had a few hours, and skimming through the signup summary in combination with the app brought me on an old fandom that somehow still lives in my brain.... and also on Youtube, score! That fandom was Warlock, and the person asked for Kassandra getting into adventures after the end of the film.... so I ran with a few ideas that I don't think I really had time to do full justice to, but I think did come together pretty well, and the recip seemed quite pleased, so - score!
