Merry Christmas everyone :)

I should have been working on any number of things, but I haven't been. I have skyped with my sister, and bought some soap, and indulged myself with an LJ account. Oooh look, new icons! I wonder how long it will be until I'm full up and considering buying more space, hmmmmm?

I also meant to make a Christmas-y post. I got a lot of good stuff, and I have also talked to a bunch of peeps, so it's been since. having Samson here is also nice, and has kept me from becoming too much of a crazy hermit :V i've been doing some reading, some writing, and even a little sewing (mostly mending), and apart from the SHA paper I haven't been thinking about school or work. Sweet! I also went shopping and bought myself some clothed from Target that I'd been eying. 15$ pants, oh the extravagance!

Last year, I considered making a cd of myself singing Christmas songs for family. i didn't wind up doing it, but I recorded three. I'm not convinced by all of them, and I must have had a cold for at least part of it :o But if anyone wants to hear them let me know :V

So yesterday was kinf odf a flop. I did pretty much nothing productive, save some late holiday baking/gifting. I slept like utter poop the night before and I blame that.

Today is off to a much better start! I did go back to sleep for a few hours after I was up to let Samson out and answered some e-mail and lj stuff. but since then I have been to the post office, scoped Walmart for Starscreams (unsuccessfully), and stopped in at Albertson's to pick up some milk so I can make hot chocolate tomorrow morning to go with the pancakes I am planning on having for breakfast :) While I was there I also bought a single-sized snickers cake, as their bakery is better than Kroger's, to have after my asparagus and wild salmon I shall be having for dinner tonight! Yum!

I also bought a white chocolate peppermint mocha at Starbucks, so I'm sure I'll be pretty wired, which means I'll get lots done on my conference paper :D which is what I'll be starting on here shortly. and depending on how that goes, I may also do some other writing! Later today or tonight I am going to watch some TV with Joel (ps Happy Birthday :) and have the dinner planed above. Also some rice. I haven't made rice in what seems like ages!

Tomorrow, I will wake up, take out le chien, and probably open my stocking. Then possibly back to bed, depending on how sleepy I am. then open presents, dress Samson in mortifying Christmas outfit provided by Megan, and see if I can get pictures without him attacking my camera :V I may have to use the webcam. It s quiet and he hasn't seemed to realize what it is. And pancakes! And probably spending a lot of the time on the phone with various and sundry :D

I am actually looking forward to my Christmas plans, and I am also glad that Megan trusted me with her dog, as he is very fun to have a round! Maybe if I hope really hard Santa will bring me a mini-dachshund, eh? Maybe? Maybe?

Oh, and did anyone out there order me something off of Tigerdirect? I'm just curious who it is from - I haven't opened the box :o

I just got a Christmas package from my aunt. She makes her own cards, and the one she sent me this year is espeically awesome - pirate Santa! With a pirate hat, a pegleg, and a big bag 'o booty! Although i guess Santa is kind of a *reverse* pirate, as he goes around giving booty *away* :o

Anyway, the poem that goes with it, which i assume she wrote is pretty cte too:

Ho ho ho and pass the rum,
Hang up your stockings and Santa will come,
Put on a smile and be of good cheer
'Cause Santa is visiting pirates this year!

I did well, of course, but more than the actual marks, I want to know how my actual papers were received, and how I did on my last exam... I wonder if we'll even get them back ever? If I'm lucky they will be waiting in my mailbox, but I have my doubts!

In other news, I am at my grandmother's house in Monkeytown. Tomorrow will involve wating up for all hours for my sister and her lad to get in, and possibly some last minute shopping :o

Well, I am very definitealy sick. I spent yesterday being miserable. I started stencilling the floor in the bathroom here but we need to see if it will actually stick to the oil paint properly and such. Mostly I spent the day watching Dr. Who. I got through the first of the new series, mostly. I apparently *didn't copy the last episode* however. A little disappointing, that is! Ahh well I'll see it eventually. I want to see the bits from the 10th doctor that I missed, too.

This afternoon, I am going to go down to the bank and see if I can get anything there sorted out. Oh, my finances are in a sad sad state. That is all that needs to be said there D:

What else? I am still not sure when exactly I am going to be heading up to Moncton. I was hoping to be going in a day or so but I don't want to a: make my grandmother sick or b: make myself more sick from exposure to allergens. Still, I need to pick up a few things here and there for people still!

And ha, I now remember that my dad is on Fredericton today for meetings so there is really no point to my staying and waiting for him to get home for lunch :V So I am going to go have some food, then. Yes. And maybe some other wandering, we will see...

Also the gallons of caffeine I've had tonight!
