I'm still working away on this Mythos story. I feel like it is too expositiony, but I also like parts that I have written. Maybe I can rearrange stuff a bit once I have more written to give it more punch. I don't have a whole ton of time, but as it is for submission I really need it to be *good*. I'm trying to keep faith that there is even a chance the effort could pay off (literally, as in pay decent cash monies). We shall see!

Despite the timing conflict, I did sign up for Chocolate Box. I guess we'll see how that goes? I dunno though, I feel very out of touch with fandom (this is not new).

Tomorrow I go back to the museum for volunteering. We'll see how that goes. Probably I should check that email.... Whoops, it looks like they were hoping I would be in today, d'oh. Well at least I have stuff to do (maybe) tomorrow. Depending on who is around :p Or maybe Friday? *more emailing ensues* We are opening the VR exhibit next week, and I've been pretty involved with that, so it's pretty cool to see it come together!

Other things.... today was not a super productive day. I made banana bread with the kids, though, and played with them, and was accidentally viciously headbutted (the underside of my nose still hurts, despite icing!). I did manage to get up before 10, with the help of my alarm. Tomorrow I have to get up at 7, though, pleh. Well, assuming I go in then and not Friday. However there is knitting tomorrow night regardless, and it will be nice to go be social in person, and maybe make some progress on that sock I ripped back.

I didn't go see Rogue One again last night. I had my weeks mixed up. Next week!

My sister made crock pot butter chicken for dinner on Friday. There were leftovers.

On Sunday, I put some in a container to take and eat for lunch on Monday, and the rest in another container to freeze and take for lunch on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, I grabbed a container out of the fridge that was the same type I had put in. It turned out to be chili.

My sister made chili for dinner last night, as had been ordained in the meal plan, so I knew it wa coming.. I cursed my luck (and my lunch), sucked it up, and had chili for two meals in a row.

This morning, I found the other container, looked to see that it was about the right colour, and had been in the right place, and put it in my bag to take for lunch.

It was chili! From a different batch - one my BiL had made where he'd interpreted 'not very spicy' to mean 'containing very few spices at all that had been subsequently doctored to be more edible. I didn't even know we *had* three of that kind of container! I very nearly ran off in search of other food, and would have if I had a longer lunch. I get half and hour and take 20 min most days so I can leave 10 min early and catch a less stupid bus.

Dinner tonight was meant to be chili again. I scavenged and found some other leftovers.

I checked the freezer and found the butter chicken (dear god I hope), and I will eat it for lunch tomorrow or I will cry.

[I keep meaning to make long lie updates, and keep not having time or motivation, so i will try and post something - anything - when I can]

So, it's Saturday, and a game day. I haven't gotten much work done this week, and my computer is still broken. I am loathe to let it go, because then I won't have much way of communicating with the outside world. On the other hand.... I would quite like it to be fixed :p I get paid on Monday, so I guess I can do it after that.

I mean, I cam glad it isn't a more major problem, but it means that it is nigh on impossible to do any work on this machine, which means that I can only work from school, which means having to go in.... and I don't always have the energy, especially after work, when I might not get home, really (counting walking Jola) until after 6. And then I need to eat, etc.... if I have to actually make dinner, it is usually almost 8 by the time I am ready to leave the house, and that seems like rather a lot of hassle for little reward. So anyway, hopefully i can get it sorted soon - the Starbucks outings were turning out to be incredibly productive

I have a bunch if things I wanted to do today, and I should probably finish getting dressed and get on with it. These include: getting some candy to hand out tomorrow, carving a pumpkin, and baking something. I'd also like to do some dissertation work, but we'll see. At some point in the next couple of weeks, I need to dissect my Scion character and backtrack my experience spending. And write a thing for that game - its as hard to do creative on-work as it is to do real work, unfortunately. An LJ post is about as much as I can manage, and even this has to be done in stages or I drive myself batty :p

Okay, it is almost noon. I'm gonna finish getting dressed and get out the bike, I guess, and head out on errands/to school.

Hmm, or yes, i also want to finish my dress, or at least get to to a state where the next stage is hemming.

Some random things!

I keep forgetting that it is Thanksgiving weekend, I should make a(nother) pie :)

I went to the gym tonight to play racquetball, but was thwarted by a lack of balls. None to rent, and none even to buy! Instead, merc and I went climbing! Which she is very good at, despite not having been for years, and I am crap at! Still it was fun, and educational. My problems are partly psychological (not trusting myself enough), and partly physical. I know I need to rely on leg strength mostly, but the impulse is to pull myself up, still. Also, I need to do more lunges to go with my squats, and possibly work on flexibility. the muscles I needed to engage were sadly underdeveloped. That also includes my forearms, which were pretty sore from me hanging on whilst groping about for a foothold I trusted. But even so, I think we will go again. I just need to find some decently affordable climbing shoes...

I think I am going to Weinerfest tomorrow! With JJ, even if she is not a weiner by breed ^-^

Something completely unrelated made me think of this song tonight. But you have to skip to almost the 2 min mark to actually hear it, unless you are interested in how it was conceived. My mom had this album, and I've always liked the song - but I haven't heard it or thought of it in yeeeeeears...

I don't update enough in here for my own liking anymore. feh!

In other news, I just found out my grandmother is back in the hospital after a(nother) blood-pressure related fall :( They had to replace her hip :( :( and she broke her arm (humerus) :( :( :(

This is the moon from tonight. The semicircle underneath it isn't a lens flare, unless it was a Divine lens flare. Or someone put JJ Abrams in charge of lighting the sky. When I first saw it - taking out Jola - the ring went all the way around in a perfect circle. It was amazing. I wish I could have got a better picture, but my lense isn't wide enough, and by the time I got the settings figured out, this was all that was left.

Today, as I was waiting for my Gym buddy tethys123, I saw a girl leaving the gym. She was wearing her bathing suit still, with her towel wrapped around her, carying a bad and her sneakers. She was barefoot - litterally as though she had just gotten out of the pool, grabbed her shit, and left. She just walked out of the building headed towards the parking garage. It was a bit chili out (long sleeves or hoodie temperatures). It was very odd.

I also got a free banana at the gym! I didn't have breakfast, so I needed something after my workout. I went to the little cafe place and grabbed a banana, and took it to the counter. One of the employees came up (behind me, actually), and asked if that was all I was getting. I said yes. He told me not to worry about it :o I thanked him and skipped away to enjoy free fruit. Hooray!

There were some other things, but I forget them now.
