I just downloaded the newest version of Semagic, and am trying to get it set up to be able to post to Dreamwidth. I have followed the instructions given here, but when I try to actually post, it tells me that my username is incorrect, despite my having changed it when I set up the server. When i log back out to look at it, it has reverted to the name I gave semagic (because I already have it set up to use 'elanya' to posy to LJ) instead of the actual account name on dreamwidth that I'm telling it to *&#$*%# use.

Anyone know how to beat it in to submission before I murder something?

So i called to see about scheduling a driving exam to get my license.

They told me they only make same day appointments, but that an appointment is needed. And that I need to come in that morning, *in person* to make an appointment to take my driver exam, which would presumably be later that day? And when i said morning, she said 'before 7:30, when we open our doors.

What!? What! Fuck you. Shit like this is why it has taken me 15 year to get my license in the first place. I hate everything >:|

ETA: Fortunately, my friend who has been assisting me with this said he would still take me in then, etc, but it is still really ridiculous >:|

So, i need to get my passport renewed, which means going to get passport pictures. Unfortunately, the places that all do 'passport photos' in the states all do them to US passport application regulations which are completely different than Canadian ones. In my (admittedly limited) experience, when asked if they can handle other formats, they look at you in confusion.

I am too cranky to think about this rationally because apart from the fact that i wound up payig $10 for utterly useless bad pictures of me, it took them for fucking ever to even get them printed >:| First,m the guy who was going to do it, and told me it would take about ten minutes, apparently up and wandered away from the machine pretty much immediately after telling me this, so that when I came back, I still hard to wait for the duration of the entire process. And that includes printing the useless fuckers twice because their machine fucked up.

*spits*

ETA: Oh, I suppose it is only fair to add that my rage is probably increased by asshats pushing (stolen) shopping carts in the bike lane on Holleman on a trafficy Saturday afternoon >:|

I had a cool dream last night but I don't remember too many of the details. I remember Julie was going to run some game, and I had a character concept, but as I thought more about the world she was running in, I realized that she was morphine more conceptually into an idea that illumancer had had but discarded for an Exia characters - a female Asian sword dancer type. I think personality wise, I think she was going to be closer to Hazel's Exia character, Mikan. The actual game was going to be sort of anime in style. There were a lot of people playing, all local folks from here (local gamers - not any actual people that I know). Also, at some point my apartment caught on fire and there was hardly anything recoverable. We sort of came by to see, in a quasi-in-game, quasi-out-of-game investigation. People were kind of in character, but it was my place and my things. I remember finding my yellow wrap pants and my stuffed kitten that I got from my grandmother, and that was pretty much it. I remember some of the other characters and npcs, and the strange anime intro sequence, but not much more than that. Strange, anyway.

Today I have to: go buy more paper, lug all my paper up to Eller house, print six copies of my thesis, and take them to the library. That is a lot of lugging for one person, especially one person with no car. I guess I will call someone maybe and see if they can take me to get paper, or take me over to the library later, which might actually be the harder part. I'll be glad to have everything done. h, I also have a tonne of library books to return still.

I *might* get to play D&D tonight. Maybe. We haven't payed the last two (or three?) weeks though, so we'll see.

And finally, I have a hair appointment at 4 today.

I guess I'd better get started on all this stuff - I need breakfast and a shower first off. speaking of showers we are supposed ot get Thunder showers today, oh *joy*!

...actually looking at the interweb tells me that I only need 3 copies of my thesis on expensive paper. I have enough for that (it is ~150 pages, so 450... I have 500). So, I *could* go up to office depot, and buy another 500 sheets 9which will cost me 30$Cad) and then have all nice bound copies. Or I could go just print the three nice copies as needed, and three crappy copies. Or I could go buy 250 sheets of the expensive paper at the (close!) student store for twice the price, and wind up with 4-5 copies on nice paper and a crappy copy for either the dept or Dr. Ewen.

Okay, showered. I guess I will go to campus and start printing, and decide what to do from there.

I think my problem is sorted. I now I am booked on the greenville to charlotte flight, and now the only questions I am not sure of is 'did they stick me with the whole flight fee?" I get the impression that they didn't, but I'm not *sure*. I hope not because I still can't afford it. Anyway, off to print theses.

No not the bees. But I have solved a mystery! Last night, my mouth was bloody when I was brushing my teeth. or at least red. I couldn't figure out why. I thought it might have been food colouring from the Devil's Food Cake (Diablotin!) pudding I had as a snack. Then I dreamed about coughing up blood and spitting blood in my sleep.

This afternoon, my mouth hurrt, and it seemed like there was something stuck to my gum in the upper left back bit. But no, it is not something stuck. It is a new wisdom tooth! Only it a: never hurt until today, and b: seems to be coming in a little 'high'? Well, good thing I have a dentist appointment on Thursday - I am told that he will probably want to do x-rays, anyway, and I'd like to be reassured that it isn't going to cause any problems. It is just... odd. Like I said - no warning, just some blood, a weird dream, and a pokey tooth bit, all within less than 24 hours.

As for the rage.... terry sent out new language rules for my game, and for a moment they made me *irrationally* angry. Which is a bit worrisome. I think I am just feeling generally discontent and something that gave me any sort of actual trigger for discontentment got the full brunt of it. It passed. I am still annoyed at how many skill points I will need to sink into my character now (at least seven, or a full level's worth at the prices he listed, more if he doesn't make it in-class across the board... 'course then maybe I will make everyone sad and just take a level of bard :p) But I will cope. Somehow. Boo.

I did get out today, and had a nice walk, and a sit-and0sing down by the creek (Greenville has forest paths, woot!) which made me content. Yay for the Boy Scouts, I guess. Apparently it was not good enough for my brain. Also, American Gothic is a lot more disturbing in parts then I'd remembered. Not the part with Sheriff Buck being the devil though. The parts with ex-cons feeding 15 year old girls popscicles in highly inappropriate ways. Eek! Not that the actress was nearly that young. It was that hot redhead who played the Gangrel chcky (Sascha?) on Kindred the Embraced, and also later played Wesley's GF for a little while on Angel. The chick from the ep where he pretended to *be* Angel for a while, but I forget the character's name. Anyway, she is a hot redhead, and would have been 23 when it was filmed. I just imdb'd her. Brigid Brannah (then Walsh). And Wesley's GF was Virginia Bryce. I knew it started with V. Bah, anyway. Bah
