woot!

Jola is doing quite well. She is much less nervous around people, including strangers, and has been out visiting a few places. We've been going for long walks in the evening, which is helping with her hyperactivity! We were both up late last night, so even though I slept in for an hour, she is now sleeping again, and using my foot as a pillow. So cute! I have taken a bunch of new photos which I'll probably upload later. She's growing like a weed! Still no adult teeth yet, so I don't really know how old she is.

One of the super cute things she does regularly, though, si that she'll refuse to go into her kennel if she doesn't get some cuddles first. Serioulsy. I'll put her blanket and toys back in her kennel, toss in a treat, and tell her to kennel up. She'll come over to me (and try to climb in my lap sometimes, even) to get cuddle and hug, and *then* she'll trot right in. So awesome!

In non-dog news, tonight should be good - going to have dinner with friends, then watch Avatar, then have strawberry shortcake, and then watch BSG :D

I'm a bad mum. I notices yesterday that Jola has been really itchy, but I couldn't see any fleas. This morning it was even worse, and she clearly didn't sleep well last night - she's all curled up in the corner sleeping now. But I think I figured out the problem. I have her one of my lounging pillows for her kennel, to make it a little more comfy. But I put it in a pillow case I never use much. I'm pretty sure it's been washed before, but now I'm not 100% sure. And it is a little starchy still. Anyway, I have now changed the pillow case. But this certainly won't have helped her learn to lover her kennel :p

I hope she's feeling better when I get back from the gym :(

Meanwhile, I'm also trying to do work! And waiting to hear from Megan about going to the gym! Wooh!

she hid under my desk all day at school. She's so scared... But also gentle enough to eat very gently right out of my hand. She will cuddle right up against people when she is being held. She's yet to bark, but whined a little nervously after we forcibly exacted her from her hiding spot. Now she is holed up in the kitchen, gnawing on a bone. After she sat there licking (and lightly gnawing) my hand i thought maybe she would enjoy it. Seems to be a hit. I was planning to read some stuff about maritime communities tonight, but maybe instead I'll read the puppy training book that Laura got me :o

She's also yet to go to the bathroom, anywhere, though I've taken her outside a few times :p

Laura brought in a lost puppy this morning. Turned up on her doorstep, quiet and scared.

She is now sleeping under my desk.

We'll see how things go.

For now, I'm calling her Jola - she needs a name that can give her a little courage :)

ETA: I'm at school - I'll take pics when we get home :) Also, typing that just gave me weird deja-vu, as though I had done this before in a dream.
