The Horse-Heather of Death, that is! This is the first time I've been party of a themes costume group - the four departmental heathers are going as the Four Heathers of the Apocalypse. I am, of course, War. Death is my ride - we're meeting up at her place first for make-uping and so forth before heading to the party.

I put Jola in her bee costume for her afternoon walk, but she got too cranky with it about 1/4 of the way through things, so I took it off her and we ran around in the baseball diamond. I call this "letting slip the puppy of war." She had fun ^-^ I wish the local kids weren't so scared of her (or me) thoug - I have candy to give out, and I saw some running around earlier. One was Batman - classic.
This is a much better Hallowe'en for me than last year, where I was sick, my costume (the Cursed Kimono) was finicky, and all my plans fell through. his year I have a sweet costume, and a hopefully kickass party to attend. And I got shit done today! My Big Scary Grant is done, and hopefully i'll be able to cannibalize it for parts for other applications. My budget for the project is also done, which is another boon as far as these things go. I submitted the online form, now I just have to make sure I get to the post office tomorrow to mail the paper bits before I go to the Renfaire! It is pirate weekend.
