So, since Larkin couldn't come out to the field, and she was going to be brining me my Shiny! New! Munsell Soil Charts, I figured we would improvise and bring back samples to test for colour when i got back.
Apparently brining soil back into the US is a giant pain in the bum! I kind of suspected it would be, but after looking into it more, I am not convinced it is worth it :p i need to have a letter or something from an approved lab (no one seems clear on this)... Of course I can't find dick shit on the USDA website because their search function doesn't work, and the site is huuuuuuuge! Bah! And the person I would need to talk to here is not actually available, of course. So, at what point do I just say 'screw it'?
Maybe I will email Mike and see if he has some soil charts kicking around the AMMC office somewhere :p
