Ever have one of those days when you wake up and you know it is going to be one of *those* days, and then things happen and you know you were right?

This morning on the bus, someone gave my bus pass to another passenger who was getting off the bus, because they thought the departing person had dropped it -_-

A monthly bus pass is $70 (plus you have to buy an id card to use with it, but that is only 3). it is halfway through January. Which means that it is not worth the full amount to get a new one, but bus tickets are not as good a deal. And they are a pain to use.

The passes have no identifying information on them, other than a picture and a number that is really just to confirm that the person in the picture is the one who bought the pass. So even if the person turned it in, there is no way of contacting me.... I suppose I could have written my email on it somewhere, but I didn't think of that. I suppose there is a chance I might see them on the bus tomorrow and they might recognize me from the picture and give it back? Or maybe they threw it in the trash, who knows :/ At least I did have money for the bus home, once I got a quarter from a co-worker. The person who gave away my bus pass offered me a twonie, which is all the cash they had, but that is not even a full fare -_- I'm not mad at them, not really, just sort of generally upset.

Anyway, then on my walk in I saw a dead bird, just sitting on the ground, like it was alive, although it wasn't. or it would not have allowed me to almost step on it. I don't know what kind of bird - black/dark blue with a forked tail. Some kind of swallow? So anyway, that's a good omen, right? :p

And then I just wanted to hide upstairs and play with the scanner and sing along with the hazards of Love but I forgot that our scanning tech is in today so I'm not alone. Weh. :/
