In my defense, I wrote this in the 11th, but I wrote it on my phone as an email to myself and then forgot to post it. But the spirit was willing!

So here is what I wrote:

The Dark Tower Series

I first started reading this series in High school I think? My dad was reading it, as I recall... Somewhere I have a copy of the Child Roland to the Dark Tower Came poem that I copied out on my typewriter (I had a cool old one that I had to leave behind when I moved to the UK, or the US, I forget now). I read up through the Wastelands as they came out... Then it took forever for the next book to come out, and I was kind of disappointed by some things in it, so I didn't keep a super close eye out for the next book, and I never got any further with reading them. I would still like to - I am keeping an eye out to pick them up in second hand book stores, but I can only ever find the 6th book, not the 5th, and probably I should reread them all now so I can remember what all happened (I'm actually surprised my recollection of plot and character stuff is as strong as it is when I think about it, though). I don't know if any of that will ever happen at this point...

I have heard there is going to be some kind of screen adaptation? Possibly I heard something about Idris Elba as Roland? I would be hella all over that!
