Goddamned terrists!
Usualy, greenville airport is very lax, ad the idea that you need to show up an hour early is kind of stupid. It is smaller than the Fredericton airport, folks. Teensy. So, we showed up about 20-25 min before the flight left. But no, not today. Today, there is this bullshit! Asshats trying to blow up planes a such. They were crazy hardcore at the airport, because, well, them's the rules. So even though it was still there, and we could see it, when I got there (in fact they werwe boarding when we arrived), I missed it. It sin't as bad as it would be if I were flying to the UK, mind, but now you can't even have a bottle of water on the plane, or liquid makeup or anything that is not 100% solid.
This is good and bad.
Bad, because I did have to rebook my ticket in the end.
Good, because now I can supervie the move myself, and the actual travel time will be less.
Bad because my new flight leavses at 5:30, so I have to be at the airport at 4:30.
Good because there are a few things I need from Greenville still, and now I can get them.
It's a mixed bag, but really... it is only money. That's it, just money. The time, the inconvenience, is not so bad. I am not going to starve to death or go without a roof over my head, or anything like that. It is not the end of the world. Life goes on.
Now, I am going to sleep some more, maybe play with the kitties, and go run some errands later on.
Oh, also, Danielle got some of her CS people to e-mail me, and I noticed some new faces in LJ land this am, so hello :) I'm loking forward to meeting folks once I get in.
