Screens: I can get everything locally except the hardware cloth.
all other field equipment I can get locally - shovels, etc

Tools:
I need a staple gun, and possibly a drill, as well as some other typical tools - screwdrivers, hammer, etc. Some of those things I can get locally, but again, i may as well see what I can get in.
I want to get at least one set of root clippers
Survey flags
twine
Camera

Recording:
I need artifact bags. I can get basic supplies there, but I may see about bringing some with. I have no idea what all I will wind up needing, in terms of amounts and sizing. gah! Also, heavy.

I need some books for fieldjournals, with graph paper. I should have begged a few from Dr. Water, but I will manage.

box of pencils, box of sharpies, big and small.
scissors

Document boxes?

Forms:
shovel test recording form
1x1 recording form
photo log recording sheet

+ extras - I think i have everything i need!

Maybe a hole punch? We didn't have enough of those on site the first half of this year, which kept our pottery a bit wetter than is ideal, once it was read and bagged.

(Found you by way Kate Beaton's comment threads, I think, and haven't anything to say until now, if you were curious.)

Hi :) And thanks!

Is a hole punch superior to poking holes in the bags with a knife, if need be?

I've found that to be generally the case; the sort of cuts that you get with a knife tend to continue to rip if the bag is under any sort of tension. Poking the bag with a bit of wire also works, but you wind up spending more time perforating bags, as wire makes tiny little holes.

Ahh, than makes sense. I'll see if I can scrounge one up then. Thanks!
