Most of the things I said I was going to do yesterday I did today instead. Except for the part about doing extra readings. I may do that next I also played a fun little Legend of the Five Rings oneshot in the (oh god) early am and running to the early afternoon. Thanks again Steve! Other than that.... I did some dance practice. I wish I had someone local to practice with once and a while - my problem (well one of them) is that I always forget how many moves I actually know. So I'll be just improvising to work on basics and realize I'm mostly only doing the same things and that I really *should* know more moves combinations. And while it is fun to experiment and find new stuff, There a lot of stuff I can't remember that I really should! Other problems - lack of motivation since I really only ever dance for myself, poor flexibility, and a back that is getting crankier as I age. I've never been really flexible and though i'm sure i could improve it mire if I could really keep up stretching daily for more than a few months at a time, I've never really gotten significant results from it when I have managed it, which makes it harder to keep trying. Ahh well. I can still do things with my stomach that would make a high percentage of the people reading this... Well you'd be impressed anyway! :V

I haven't really gotten a lot accomplished today, which is really... no so surprising. I feel like such a slacker. There are so many things I should be doing yet somehow I can only really force myself to do the ones that clearly *need* doing.

Right. I also have eaten too much junk food. But as I still feel comfortable flouncing around in skimpy tops mostly composed of scarves, this is probably not really an issue yet :p

I had another aside to add to the list but now forget what it was. it did seem worth mentioning, but I'm sure you will all survive without further trivial insights into my mundane life. I'm going to go read-over my SHA presentation and probably go to bed early :)

Oh now I remember one thing, though i don't recall if it was *the* thing - I want to make a dance belt that is steampunk inspired - like a coin belt, only with a base of brass chain and little cogs instead of coins. Only i have no idea where I would get that many cogs!

Start searching second-hand/used furniture/Goodwill type stores for cheap analog clocks you can disassemble for their gears?

ebay. Search for "watch cogs" or "clock cogs," or even watch or clock parts.

I've done a bit of poking around, but there are enough other people out thereafter the same sort of stuff that I've seen auctions for a handful of the tiniest cogs go upwards of $30 also D:

I'll keep looking though. I was kind of hoping that somewhere out there, someone had realized the demand for these sorts of things and started mass-manufacturing them....

....which makes me think that maybe I could find a manufacturer that sells watch parts and buy, like, a box of cogs from them and be set for life o_O
