Boots?

Shipping would be $10-12. They'd be good for a steampunk costume I'd never get to wear....;_; But I could also wear 'em with skirts, right?

....oh the costume I would make if I had the money...

I'd have a brown leather pirate coat and a natural leather custom corset armour thing to wear underneath (with brass fittings), and knickers, and and and....

*sigh*

That said, apart from shoes I could improvise a pretty decent steam punk outfit on pretty short notice, I think. If only there were ever call for it!

My ray gun and goggles for [livejournal.com profile] longpig are coming along quite nicely, I think! I think tomorrow I can spray it to seal it and it should be good to go :o

Curious...why would you never wear a steampunk costume? It's becoming very popular.

Oh no, I would wear it in a second! My point was more to bemoan the fact that I don't foresee any opportunity to do so :/

Is there no group in town? Or nearby?

Galveston would be an awesome place for it....

not that I'm *aware* of, but I suppose that doesn't mean no :o

I've been looking a bit though, and nothing so far.

Really, we just need to have more costume parties.

Wow. You just reminded me I have actually been in a roleplaying shop in (on?) Galveston.

Not very remarkable, apart from I live in England.

And yeah.. it would suit steampunk :)

Boots... they strike me as having overly wide calves, I'd worry whether they would fit. Other than that they are nice, though.

As for the pirate coat.. start saving. That would SO suit you.

the coat is indeed rather epic

Aside from the slits at the top of the sleeves, I'd totally wear that in a modern context.

they lace on! I could just take them off :o

You can also get different kinds of sleeves, but I like those ones.

They look fantastic, but I could see them being a little impractical in heavy rain!

Not much of a boot judge but that coat rocks.

How in the world did you locate a coat worn by a model who looks like you???

Oh, yeah...the coat would *SO* work for you.

Peace!
