A quote from the Earl of Craven, from Samuel Pepys' diary, Sat. Nov 19, 1664:

"For," says he, "if I occupy a wench first, you may occupy her againyour heart out you can never have her maidenhead after I have once had it."

Hee!

(Craven was one of the original Lords Proprietors of the Carolinas and the Bahamas. Here he was talking about selling lotteries in the royal fishery, more or less.)

Okay, totally off topic question: Who should I use as my third reference for my g-school ap. Right now I have Dudders and K-my-boss. I can't think of any ECUers to ask.

You could try asking Kevin - pitch it as a 'looking for an insider' thing... of course maybe that won't work if he is the program head now. I'm confused. But someone else from A&M?

Actually I did use him last time, but I haven't spoken to him since, and I don't know if he'd do it. And besides Dr. Smith, he's probably the only person who remembers me. Argh, couldn't there be two ECU professors that I hadn't pissed off?

It's the last thing I have to do before I send in my application except my statement, which I'm also working on. I want everything in n Dec. 1.
