Well... the more the let the crazies out, the less a change they will have of getting reelected. At least, I hope.

I'm actually sort of hoping the opposite -- that the crazies will go back into their cages, the Conservatives will start resembling more the PC party of old (for real, not just faking it), and we'll actually have a viable right wing alternative in this country -- politically and fiscally conservative, as opposed to morally conservative.

Yeah, that would also be good, but as you said above, they haven't really been known for their restraint of the crazy :/

*sighs* Yeah. I know. I keep my optomism, because the alternative is to find an unclaimed island somewhere and set up a government of one (or, well, two. I'd take my husband. He could be the Official Opposition.)

Well, no one is going to *want* to call an election, at least. Certainly, no one is going to want to pay for one :p In the best case scenario: the crazies remain well leashed, and we get a full 4-5 years of responsible conservatives balanced by the other parties.

I'm not sure if the worst case would be another election in two years, or that the crazies run rampant but everyone else is too timid of forcing another election to properly reign them in.

Anyway... I am generally satisfied with how things went last nihht, let's just see how they go from here.
