Oh, no, apparently the lease is very very clear on this, along the lines of "Absolutely no pets. No cats, no dogs, no animals whatsoever, no lizards, no hamsters, etc."

Bleh.

And absolutely, under no conditions, may you keep caged animals in the house, and hide the cage in a closet should the landlord ever actually come for a visit. Because that would be naughty.

It would have to be a big closet... their cage is 3 feet high by 2 feet deep and wide :o

I still think it's worth your time to ask. They can't kick you out for asking whether you can have a pet. :p

Yeah, it never hurts to ask. We're 'absolutely not supposed to have pets" here either... and how many animals have we got living here?

I suppose... I'll get Joel to do it though, since he's the one who actually signed the lease, adn can do it by phone, which is closer to 'in person' than I can get ^-^
