I meant to do this yesterday but got distracted.

Yesterday, then, I passed my thesis chapters off to Dr. Dudley. I may pass them off to Carl today, too :) I did some UCL e-mailing, as well as e-mailing the Nevis guy. Dr. Ewen doesn't seem to think I *really* need to look at his categories, but I think it would be really a great aspect because not only could I look at pottery, but it would also give me an idea of how they were using their material culture differently. I'd hoped to get all the data I do have put into my own excel files and start organizing some other things. However I wound up having to go to the library to photocopy a bunch of crap from Sullivan's book so that I could return it, so I only got one site done. I did double check the figures for the other site, at least, as the numbers from his first table were all screwed up :p Why can't people count? Why can't they count when it is clear that they are using excel or some other spreadsheet/database program? *sigh*

That is about all I got done, which is not really great, but is a barely acceptable level of things. I would have got more done if I hadn't had to go to the library, and had DC and been planning stuff for Exia... of and been chatting with people in person and on line so much. Anyway. Today I need to:

read articles for class
get stuff to make rice krispy squares, and make them
input stuff from this new site
look over Barcadares stuff again
see if I can make more progress revising it based on Monday's discussion
go to the anth thingy for 6:30 at least

So I may do readings now then go out and get stuff for RK's before class. I should be able to get everything I need at food lion with the cash I have on me, and then work and go to class. Seems reasonable, but it means I need to go start reading now!

Few people will get that I suspect, and those that do will have to admit their geekiness, at least privately.

I'm having an omlette for dinner, with cheese and salsa, but it is a two egger. I have managed to get everything on my list done, down to the part where I said I would try to do some productive original research. Well, maybe after I get back from Whalerider. Mreh.

I've been exceptionally moody lately, long term lately even, and I really don't know if I can identify the cause. It vexes me - this is not a change I approve of.

Once upon a meme, many people inquired about what guilty pleasures I indulge in. I maintained, and still do, that I really don't feel guilty about any of my pleasures. I still do, for the most part. Nevertheless I will confess one guilty pleasure:

The Rick Mercer Report webpage, located here. I always watch it when I should be doing other things, like, say, now, when I should be working on my thesis. Sometimes instead of just watching the little clips from the most recent shows, I'll go look through things I've missed in the archive and poke around other bits of the site.

Canada has great political comedy shows. I do't know if the US really has anything quite like it, or like This Hour Has 22 Minutes, or Air farce, or, going back to the old days of Radio, Double Exposure. That was the first show that got me hooked on this style of comedy. Anyway Rick Mercer is love. Most of the sketches from this week are pretty good, too :D I actually went to see if he had any amusing commentary on the cabinet crazyness, but alas, no. Can't have everything, I suppose.
