I keep meaning to make a post about my new job. In fact I *did* start to make one and I'm not sure what happened to it! Anyway.

I am a dictionary bitch. I am working on a project for the Nautical Archaeology Digital Library, for Dr Castro. the whole library is a joint project between the Naut. Arch. and Comp. Sci. departments. part that isn't online yet is a multilingual glossary of ship and ship construction terms. My job is to help create that list by entering words from translated word lists from various sources. I also sort the terms by a few categories, and I get to make suggestions for the interface. Of which are plenty forthcoming - it is really strangely organized at the moment! One of the problems is that I can't actually enter words on my own :p

Anyway, that's my job for this term, and possibly next as Dr Castro has said that he wants to poach me away from the guy I'm supposed to work for next term as well!
