So I had unofficially been trying to make more regular, even daily, posts in here, and I missed yesterday. I thought about it last night but didn't think I had anything to say, and realized that was lies as I was falling asleep.

So, in short order -

I went out for Chinese Buffet of Dubious Quality with some friends who were o their way to see Frozen. I had considered going to the movie as well, but I am not a fan of musicals on the whole. I was mostly considering because people keep telling me how much I would like the story and the characters, but I tried listening to one of the songs on Youtube and mostly wanted to stab out my wears, so it seemed best to avoid it. If nothing else I wouldn't want to ruin it for other people >.> It is really just the kind of musical signing that I don't like. Unfortunately I don't really have a good enough understanding of musical composition to explain it, but a lot of it is down to the vocal style. I certainly don't have a problem with the concept, given my great love of Hadestown (though ftr, I'm also not a fan of Anais Mitchell's voice and it makes me feel like a giant jerk), the Hazards of Love, The Tain, etc... I don't categorically hate all musicals, either. I liked Dr. Horrible, but then most of the voices in that are not broadway voices. I love Cannibal the musical as well, but the same thing applies. I don't dislike the songs from musicals either, necessarily, but I often dislike how they are sung. I can usually handle covers better. Sometimes things that are cracky or ridiculous will win me over as well.

Proceeding, then, it was a rush to make it to dinner because getting my flu shot took longer than I anticipated. I actually missed the 'we have to leave now if we want food' message by like 3 minutes, but I managed to call and catch people en-route so it worked out okay.

Then I came home. I meant to do some writing, but instead was talking to a friend about her evolving relationship with fandom and how to balance it with other things in her life, and then watching two issues of Person of Interest with naryrising. We're up to s01e10. And it is amazing and pretty muchh all I want to do is watch moooooooar!

That said I have gotten past my writing block, and wrote about 300 words of my story for my Space AU trope bingo square. I've also been working on the background for my changeling LARP, which I am going to cheat and use for fan_flashworks if I can figure out what to call it :V And I got my art for pentapus's Raksura Treehouse Reverse Bang thing, and it is great and the wheels are already turning there too ^-^
