Meta?

Have you used flowerlooms? Stashbreaking?

I'm terrified that I'm terribl;e at writing coherent meta /o\ It's not something I've done a lot of, partly because I tend to be off in really weird corners of fandom and not playing in the more mainstream fandoms. For example, I hardly watch television at all and have never really been in the habit of writing about it when I do. If was reading more stuff about fandom I might be more inclined.... and really I should do that. I do enjoy it, hmmm....

I am not sure what you mean by a flowerloom, unless it is a circular loom, in which case.... I had some small ones when I was a kid but never did anything fancy with them. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by stashbreaking though.

I've got the round and square flowerlooms. I made a 'bunch' of motifs at one point, but can't recall what crochet I was doing to make the 'rims'. I rather dislike the finishing stage of yarncrafting. So, I'd like projects where I can take advantage that the yarn is connected.

Stashbreaking is what one does by choosing projects to consume yarn or fabric (floss, crochet thread) one already has.

Ahh! I haven't actually seen those in person, then. But I hear you on the finishing stuff - I loathe weaving in ends >.>

As for stashbreaking, I am pretty good at not buying things I don't have specific plans for, at least. Excess stash is generally a result of someone else buying me yarn, and I can't quite bring myself to complain about that :D

Eh, who needs coherent or popular meta if you're not feeling it? I am often up for reading "I LIKE THIS THING YOU HAVE PROBABLY NEVER HEARD OF, AND I LIKE IT BECAUSE REASONS"
