I am currently working on chapter 5, which is my methodology chapter.
Initially I focused on my field methodology, but since my analytical methodology informs from my field methodology, I need to describe it first. (So I can say, this is the information I need, sio this is how I gathered my data).

Describing my analytical methodology requires some explanation, because I'm using a 35+ year old model. This explanation is turning in to something of a miniature lit-review, so now I feel like maybe I need to move it in with the rest of my actual lit review, back in Chapter 2. Right now that chapter focuses on introducing my theoretical categories for understanding maritimity. I am going to need to relate these two concepts at some point, and I suppose I may as well try to do it there as later. then my diss will flow like this:

I. Introduction
*II. Lit review and Theory
-look at definitions of maritime culture
--introduce my three broad categories
---New: explain how I want to look at broad context and am therefore using South
-Explain South
--Look at how South is used (also reference Degan)
---look at problems with South
----defend the approach
**III. Atlantic History of the Bahamas
**IV. History of Harbour Island focusing on maritime connections/maritimity
*V. Field methodology
VI. Compare sites *at* Harbour island
VII. Introduce some comparative other sites
VIII. Compare HI to those sites
IX. Discussion/Conclusion

* = chapter done
** = chapter was done and then I flailed.
I *had* started VI, but there is nothing in it now that is staying there -_- I do at least have a nice table layout...

Chapter II needs a serious overhaul anyway. I didn't want to do it now. I want to move on to new thingsI I'll consider where to start with it tomorrow...
