elanya at 03:30pm on 01/08/2011I got back super late on Friday from the last field day....well, 10:30-ish, but consider that ti is only ~2 hours away. It was a stupid long day.
My weekend was consumed by moving, which was awful of course, but highlighted by a viewing of Cowboys and Aliens on Saturday night. It was fun, and is exactly what it says it is. Save that there are also Indians, but some of them are also cowboys and that would have just made an awkward title.
Today was my first day at the new job (assistant collections manager with the university art galleries), and I think my brain frazzledness was somewhat detrimental. I need to go home and sleep, and unpack, and put my bed together. I'm not going to get Jola back quite yest as there isn't any good space for her, and the AC is on the fritz. I feel enough for Maze :| He, at least, is making the most of perching on everything and rubbing his face on everything in the house to scent mark it. Including me @_@
I'm at school right now but I haven't gotten any work done, and don't think I have the brain for it in any case. I think I'm going to go pick up a few basic groceries at HEB so I can have dinner for tonight and lunch for tomorrow, then go home and do some Sorting Out of Stuff there.
I need to go clothes shopping and I need to figure out what my tuition is going to be and where I'm getting that money from. Le Sigh.
On the other hand, I did get an email inviting me to participate in an SAA panel thing on Bahamian Archaeology in Memphis in 2012.
I am sure I have more to say, but my brain is made of mush.
