last night, I managed to get a bit of work done - picked up some stuff I'll need to pack up artifacts for transport (thanks Merc!) and did a bit of artifact cleaning before running off to watch the Perseids with Shelby, Tuck, Cheryl, Zari, Rachel, and Ella (eventually). There were ice cream and kittens and an abortive adventure to land owned by a crazy person that was supposed to be abandoned but wasn't. We were too close to the city to see many of the little stars, but we caught a few absolutely spectacular big ones - save for Ella, who always seemed to be looking the wrong way at the right time. I took Jola for a short (very short) walk when I got home and was rewarded by seeing the most impressive one I've seen to date, which streaked clear across the sky from behind me, down to the horizon, disappearing into the treeline above lemon tree park. it seemed to split the sky in half. I got home at one after that, and it was totally worth it.

This morning my alarm went off at seven, and I snoozed until maze force cuddled me out of bed (It is hard to get back to sleep - he figures that if I am awake, I may as well be petting him, and will headbutt me incessantly until I pet him more or get up ;p)

Today I have a ton of crap to do, and so here is a short list

-Process artifacts got though wayy more than I thought I would too, so hooray!
-contact Jessi and Kevin re: Jola (meant to do this last night)
-Send Larkin and Catherine the 'what to bring, etc' email
-ISS meeting at 2:15. Try not to stab anyone. FAIL shit.
-I already made copies of my forms for Cindy, so that is one thing down!
-I think there may be more that I'm forgetting, but that's the big stuff.
-order Munsell charts -Possibly to Larkin or Catherine's house, just in case?

I said it on facebook, but I'll say it here too - if anyone local has any time they could give me in the next few days to help me out with getting stuff ready, I would really appreciate it, and can repay in baked goods and/or liquor. I need help cleaning and packaging/packing artifacts, mostly. Thanks :)

I should already be working, but at least I'm here, and I needed a few minutes to recover from the bike ride in.

In other random news, I cut up Serrano peppers yesterday to make chili and my fingers are still kinda burny, especially after my bike workout. On the other hand, tonight I'll have chili!
