Arr. I did the dream survey, which is below. It made me think about my dreams more. I don't usually remember my dreams. It is more likely that I will when there is some reason that my sleep is not as restful.... if I am in an unfamiliar location, for example, or if I can't get comfortable, or ate somethig odd. I often don't get very clear images when I'm dreaming. Sometimes I do, but sometimes, I'm not *seeing* what happens, but the story is still unfolding. It's more like... having a book happen in your head. You get vague impressions of what the characters look like, but not necessarily details. It isn't always like that though. I have had some very eye-candy like dreams. (Kalman's wings were very cool).
And I started this rant about two ours ago and I can't remember where I was going with it. On with the survey!
have you ever fallen in love in your dreams? Nope, never.
do you have reoccurring characters in your dreams that do not exist in real life? I don't think so, no.
do you see yourself or do you see from your eyes? Either, often simultaneously.
does the "you" you see in your dream the same person you see in the mirror? Not always. Actaully, I think most fo the time, I never see myself in dreams when I am dreaming that I am being myself, so I can't really say. I have a sense of *me* more than a visual confirmation of identity. I actually think that my dreams are sometimes less visual and more based on impressions, if that makes any sense.
do the people in your dreams have faces or do you know who they are by "feeling"? A little from column A, a little from column B...
do you dream in color or good ol' black and white? I think colour, but I'm not 100% sure.
can you read or write in your dreams? I don't recall ever dreaming I was illiterate, but I can't remember reading or writing anything in dreams either.
do you have orgasms in your sleep? nope.
do you pee in your dreams? without peeing the bed? Never dream of peeing.
do you have sex dreams more about your ex's than the person in your current relationship? Not really applicable, but I've never had a sex dream about Joel, or any of my ex-es.
when you sleep next to someone, do you dream of them? Generally not.
have you died in your dreams? I don't think I ever have :o
have you killed in your dreams? I once dreamed I was a serial killer, so there you have it.
has anyone dreamed about you killing them? Yes. Joel had a dream (possibly more than one) where he had to kill me because I had been replaced with a succubus, or something.
do you have tragic, gory, horrible dreams? Gory, yes, tragic, I dont recall any atm, and horrible, occasionally.
do you have nightmares? Very rarely.
have you had super powers in your dreams? Oh yeah :D I had a dream I was on a superhero team, even, on another world... very cool :)
have you had homoerotic dreams? Yeah...
have you hurt a loved one in your dreams? I don't think so.
do you always have the same nightmare situation? nope.
have your dreams come true? Not that I've noticed.
are your dreams easy to interpret? A lot of the time, my dreams are influenced by what I was thinking about before I fall asleep, especially if I was gaming the night before. BUt I don't think they often have deep meanings, except that I want more adventure in my life :D
do you lucent dream? Once I realize I am dreaming, I start to wake up. I can kind of control what is going on the the current dream, to an extent, but I know it is only a matter of time before it is over. MOstly, my lucidity is concentrated on keeping things going as long as possible. Also, I find that my subconscious is a more interesting story-teller than conscious-me...
