well, presumably the person who set it up can't *make* people vote according to the premise, no matter what her initial intent....

Sometimes I think fandom is just a huge social experiment that someone designed...

Oh, I meant participants in general - most if not all of the "omg, vote for THIS person" stuff shows bias which is unrelated to the actual abilities/skills of the characters as deciding factors in the premise of the contest.
