Roleplaying/writing (a mash of the two, really): As I wrote earlier, I do a lot of writing. Well, a lot of things I write are related to various games that I play - either they're character explorations or backgrounds, smut, side stories, and so forth. Both of the serial stories I have started are ties to games in some way. The first, Pieces, is the continuation of the story of a character that was originally an NPC in the very first game I ever ran, which was, rather masochistically, Mage: The Ascension. After that (or, err, possibly before that? I can't keep it straight now, this was well over ten years ago!), I continued his story in NuRPG, an RPS based initially on an video game (Chrono Trigger), but diversified to cover allll sorts of different fandoms, with characters from through the multiverse all pulled to this one planet as part of an epic battle of good vs. Evil for the fate of the universe sort of deal. My serial was sort of 'what happens after' story, when Daniel came back to try and have a somewhat (ha!) normal life. The second serial, Shadows, was intended as a side story to a game that has since concluded, and was a retired character of mine and an NPC on tangentially related stories, mostly going around and tying up lose ends ;). Er, yes. That's a long answer. I'll say also that the bulk of the 'fanfic' writing I've done is for transformers, and is all technically background and extended stories for a PC character from a game a friend of mine ran and WILL RUN AGAIN @_@
Yar!: I like pirates. they fascinate me on a lot of different levels! I won't go in to that though, because this is clearly related to my habit of *saying* 'Yar!'. Yar can be a greeting, or it can be a general sign of assent. Yar.
Boobs Bees (*cough*): Oh silly boy. I have nice boobs, it is okay to mention them on occasion :V Bees are great. They are fascinating insects in their own right, and also, thanks to Pliny the Elder, make a great metaphor for menstruation! Well, killing bees. In the hive, see? I have a bee tattoo on my ankle that is representative of all these things, and also of social ties to some of my closest friends and my sister, based on our love of bees :)
Academia: Ii..... am an egghead. I'm an academic, and I am not ashamed! I like to think about things, and study, and ready, and write, and even, dare I say it, discourse. Academia has been my life, as a student, for many years now, and if I'm lucky I'll peek out in to the real world just long enough to find a good spot to hop back in :)
Nerdawesome: this is Rum making up words. I am awesome in my nerdyness! ALL SHALL LOVE ME AND DESPAIR! And I think that, right there, is pretty demonstrative of my Nerdawesome.
