hmm hmmm hmmm....

Dr. Waters asked me if I'd like to come back and do Buttermilk again this year. I could use the money, that's for sure!

But then I'd need to find some one or some place to take Jola for at least the weeks (home on weekends) when I'd be gone, and it is a 7 week season. Plus, even if it ends in July, I am probably going to need time to get my own shit together... but it will be good for me to have already been in the field that summer also, so I'm not all rusty and confused :p

Well, I'm going to e-mail and check the dates with him at least. TBH, I'm happy enough that he asked me back :) I must have half a clue what i am doing after all :V

Well, I don't know what my whole plan is for the summer, but I do know that I'll be there through June and part of July. The thing is my lease expires at then end of May, and I'm probably not renewing it, so I would totally house sit/pay rent/take care for Jola for you for the time that I am there.

I swear I'm not a slob when I live in other people's houses.

That would totally work :D

When are you leaving leaving?

Would you still be available/interested in the Bahamas if it was in August?

I don't know when I am leaving leaving.

I know that I want to be done writing by June, and I think I can do it if I'm disciplined and get up and write a little bit every morning. But done with a first draft and done with a thesis are not teh same thing, and given how I will still need my sources, I wouldn't be surprised if I stayed through the end of June, making up hours for Cemal and editing the thesis.

My plans all hinge on where I go to graduate school and how I will move. Right now, my options are UCLA or Cincinnati, but I still have two more schools to hear from. If I go to Austin, it would make no sense to move my crap home and then back to Texas, but if I go to Cornell, moving my stuff home makes a lot of sense. Basically, what I'm saying is that my plans are kind of up in the air right now, but I'm sure that I could extend my stay a little to accomodate a happy Jola.

Also, August works way better than June for me. Way. (Yay! Bahamas)
