Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] astatine210 for my new userpic :D I've been meaning to start using it for a while, but I'm lazy ;)

In other news, as the title says, I'm ready to go! I'm all packed except for stuff that needs to go in my carry-on, like my laptop and the router, and some clothes and etc.

I've got two big bags, and four things to send parcel... A box of booxs, a rubbermaid tote of cloth and costumes, my rice-cooker, and a suitcase with my toolbox, housecoat, and parts of my winter jacket. I think I'll dig out a sweater to take on the bus, just in case though. Apart from my bookbag, I'm also taking my sewing machine as carry-on. Arr.

Since I'm all packed, it means that I can do stuff tomorrow. The only thing I want to do is build a snowman, and take pictures, for [livejournal.com profile] ladysylkie, since I said I would do so, and we have the snow, and I might not get a chance in Ontario. Anyone wanna help? :D

Meanwhile, [livejournal.com profile] ladyiolanthe's update reminded me that I had a neat dream last night too. Like other of my dreams lately, it was layered, and had a gaming-y type premise, kind of. I bet there is some kind of analysis to be made there, hmmm.... anyway, on with it!

In my dream, for some reason, it was [livejournal.com profile] vess who had run the original game which had spawned Alex, my human cocaine-addict with uncontrolled Pyrokinesis, and he was running a sequel. (Possibly, Terry was just using the character, I'm not sure any more). In any case, Alex had gained better control of his powers, and had either formed, or was being used by (I think the latter) some sort of shadowy, villanous group. I think they were planning on using him as a weapon, because his powers could cause a nuclear reaction, or something.

Me, and a bunch of other people, had been targeted by this group for some reason... I'm not really sure why, anymore. Possibly because we knew too much. In any case, much of the dream was my being on the run. I couldn't stay in one place very long, or have much contact with people becaiuse it was too dangerous. Also, the villains had develloped some sort of magical or technical tracking device that was very precise, and if you stopped moving, they could get you.

I passed through a lot of places. Sometimes I was running in cities (Halifax?), but I did move between them. At one point, I was in an apartment with two young girls. They lived there, and I think they were twins. I knew the group was after them, so I didn't understand how they could afford to live in one place.... But then I realized they (like many others), didn't realize they were in danger, and they had an advantage they didn't know about too. In their bathroom, I found a gel that, if put on the tooth beside the incisor on the bottom right of the jaw, would prevent the group from being able to find you with their tracking stuff.

Once I discovered this, I was in even more danger, but I felt that I had to spread the word. Most of the rest of the dream was me on the run again, encountering various people who were also being targeted, trying to convince them that they needed to hide, and that this tooth-gel would help them.

I think the whole Terry-running-an-Alex game was just an excuse for my subconscious to come up with a cool adventure for me ;)

That being done... I wonder where hazel is :o She went to meet with Marie Maltais this Am, and then theoretically to the school, but I haven't seen her all day, or heard from her save for that LJ entry she made...

Unfortunately, it's really "Astatine210". Some fiendish impostor's squatting on my traditional name and it looks like they're doing nothing with it. Bastard.

(I wonder if the fact that's it's done nothing for months is sufficient grounds for the LJ staff to turn it over to me... any idea who I ask?)

There may be answers to be had somewhere on the support page, if you want to wade through all that...

US$15 to change names, it seems. That's about £10... hmm.
The squatter's account started in May (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=astatine&mode=full), so maybe I'll wait 'til a year's passed before seriously think about asking :)

...although as a side-effect of looking at the support pages, I've finally found the syntax for tweaking the page templates. Journal looks a bit flashier now, especially in browsers that support CSS properly (ie. not IE for Windows).
