Two rejection letters this week - one for happiness man, and another for Cursed Wreck.

The first doesn't really surprise me - I'd like to see it in print but I ow it is not my strongest story. The editor said that it didn't grab him quickly enough, which is fair. The second doesn't really surprise me either, as it was probably a poor fit for the market. But I don't know what a good market for Lovecraftian stuff is these days - and it is very blatantly Lovecraftian. CW is a good story though - I don't want to see it languish.

The next one I'd expecting to hear back about is Soul Proprietor, but that could be a while. I think it is 6-8 weeks response time from the end of August...

I have Shadow of a Place just about ready to go out now, but I haven't decided where to send it either. i could try Weird tales again, but I'm still not sure if it is a good fit...

Maybe I could send CW to Cemetery Dance? I need to send them a query letter to see if they are taking longer submissions at this time, I guess!

Disappointing but not unexpected, anyway :/
