According to the What D&D Character Am I test that Balthcat found...

I Am A: True Neutral Elf Ranger Paladin

Alignment:
True Neutral characters are very rare. They believe that balance is the most important thing, and will not side with any other force. They will do whatever is necessary to preserve that balance, even if it means switching allegiances suddenly.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Paladins are the Holy Warriors. They have been chosen by a God/dess to be their representative on Earth, and must follow the code of that deity, or risk severe penalties. They tend towards being righteous, but not generally to excess.

So, I don't know that I can exist. Also, looking at the detailed ratings, I am just as likely to be a True Neutral Elven Cleric Paladin, but maybe that is redundant. I'm pretty sure you can't have a True Neutral Paladin, though. Maybe I should actually be a Ranger Cleric, or Cleric Ranger... Hmm.

Anyway, I ran my game tonight, and again, it went well! I have notes and stuff for it now, too :o I feel all organized. And all the PC's have been introduced. They are great. Subplots are already starting to come out, even... Yay me!
Music:: Depeche Mode - It's No Good

I think if I remember correctly, in 3rd edition AD&D, rules are less stringent... You can be an evil Ranger, for example, or a Halfling Paladin. So you might actually be able to be a True Neutral Elven Ranger Paladin...

It might not make a lot of sense, it might be hard to roleplay, but I think rules lawyers couldn't complain.

I think Paladins can be just about anythig *except* true Neutral, because that alignment sort of precludes the usual fanatacism that is required to be a Paladin...

Anyway, I was just telling Curtana that what would be fun would be to take this test, make characters using the results based on ourselves, and play a one shot... hee hee

According to third ed., paladins still have to be LG. Most other classes have had the alignment restrictions relaxed a bit, but not them. But there are prestige classes for evil, fallen-from-grace paladins - Blackguards! But still no neutral, at least according to the offical rule. But lots of GMs allow them for any god...

All right, you can be a True Neutral Elven Ranger Paladin for Elanya, the Goddess of Apathy!

My love it must be fate because I took the test and was a True Neutral Elf Ranger/Mage. We could be an adventuring party!

hee hee, see my response to Ceiridwen's comment ;D

We would be a pretty good party, I think. Except for Balthcat's stick-in-the-mud LG character.. ;)
