baking!

I have been doing hella baking this week. The lovely [livejournal.com profile] earis helped with the pie :)

Other things I have done today:

Watched In the Wake of the Bounty - Interesting it that it is part historical drama, part travelogue, part unintentional ethnography of early 20th C Pitcairn community. *and* they show underwater shots of the wrcek of the bounty. Good thing I decided to watch one of my unwatched movies to unwind from school, hmm? I'm such a dork.

I also walked Jola extra long this afternoon (which, incidentally only made her more hyper), including a trip down to Bee Creek, where she chased tadpoles and tried to gorge herself on algae and pond scum. I need to get a pic of her in her new red harness. It's super cte, though little big for her still. <3

Poor old Cap'n Bligh got a bum rap.

they didn't go much in to things in this really - there was maybe 10-15 min of dramatization. So they weren't *too* hard on him!

he was a helluva navigator, anyway, even if he was a bad captain.

The community that developed on Pitcairn is -rather- bizarre.. was it equally bizarre back when the movie was made?

And that loaf looks hella tasty :p

Yes, they were quite bizarre. There was a weird dramatization at the end of the movie with a dying baby as well, because no ship wanted to come to the island. Also there was a bit that was like "These people know hey are terribly inbred, so they try to get lots of exercise!" It was just an odd pseudo documentary, all in all!

That loaf is the one I brought in last week ;p And you going to fawn over my delicious quiche? >:D

Well no wonder I thought it looked so tasty, it is because I know it WAS tasty!

As far as the quiche goes, I think, of the people I know, you may just be awesome enough to make quiche tastyt, just maybe.. if you fill it full of a lot of win and not so much egg :-p

See, the culinary world was at peace until the Egg Nation attacked. Their worst egg-benders created quiche as a tool of our ultimate desctruction. By not eating quiche, I'm helping to save us all :-p
