*leads Mr. Martin to a dark alley, surrounded by hired goons*

Alright, George. Can I call you George? That's wonderful. Now , there is something that has been bothering me, and I'm hoping we can come to an understanding about it. My friends, you may have noticed my entourage, well, they are also hoping we can come to an agreement, and have told me how very upset they might be if we don't. I don't want to tell you what they said they might do, though. I wouldn't want to scare you, see. Nod and smile, that's a good boy.

Now, what is it, you might ask, that I have a problem with? Well, it's what I like to call i>Fantasy Grammar. That's right. I loathe fantasy grammar. Like when people take a perfectly good sentence, and reverse some words to make it sound, oh, I don't know... Maybe archaic, maybe exotic. How am I to know what the author's mental hamsters are churning out on their little wheels? But you know what? It doesn't work. Or, very, very, rarely. And there is a certain phrase in A Song of Ice and Fire which keeps turning up, time and time again. A poorly inverted phrase whose fantasy grammar make it sound simply ridiculous. And what is that phrase?

*Puts on a falsetto voice* "I'm almost a man grown!"

May I never have to say it again. Every time I hear it, I shudder, George. And there is no need of it, is there? There is no reason you must insist on using this absurd fantasy grammar.

I mean, look how thick each of these volumes are. Klaus, the books please.

*A goon of obvious Germanic heritage opens a briefcase which shows hardcover editions of each of the ASOIAF books published to date.

Look at them! So... large. For the most part full of very admirable writing. And the series is only half over. There's plenty of time for you to end this foolishness. Isn't there, boys?

*grunts of assent from the goons*

It would be a sad thing to the world if your future work was never to see the light of day. Or even, say, certain editions of your past work? I assure you, I have the power to make certain that these books of yours are sent somewhere where, shall we say, 'the sun never shines'.

I'm so sorry, I did say i didn't mean to threated, and I didn't. This subject just gets me so worked up. And I'm not naturally an emotional person, as my friends will attest. I just hope that you've taken some of this conversation to heart, George. My Limo will drop you off wherever you would like."
