Dunno if it is true or not, but I hear that's some sort of search engine trick that increases the visibility of websites. Delete em when you get em. Sad part is, seeing stuff like that makes me wonder if I need to restrict my replies to friends only. I think you can report stuff to LJ because I'm sure they'd like to know about it.

I think you can just disallow anonymous posts while leaving commenting open to everyone, unless you frequently have anonymous comments worth reading - I think most people scanning outside their friends on LJ posting on things that interest them tend to have accounts, so this wouldn't stop them at all.

true, it's not those people who *can* be identified that would worry me, but those who *cannot*. The disallowing anonymous posts actually looks like exactly what I'd suggest. Good call.
