Is there anyone on my f-list who is going to the Society for Historical Archaeology conference in Albuquerque this year who is looking for a room? I have one booked at the main hotel (I'm tired of commuting - and I'm presenting this year D:), but I am ;looking to share expenses. Its two double beds, non-smoking, and booked for Wed-Sat nights.

I really wish I was SHAing this year. Maybe next year. Also, do you know what a good time to call Dr. Crisman would be tomorrow? I've tried calling him three times and got his answering machine.

He's been sick - generally he is in the office in the morning, and works at home o writing stuff in the afternoons. Also he might be more easily reached by e-mail.

I'm not going, but have a suggestion. There should be some sort of forum or other way to advertise that you have a room and want a roommate at the conference/society website. I did this for an ASLO meeting and got something like 5 offers for slip expenses within a day or two.

Yeah, I am on the society mailing list, but I figured I would see if I can find someone I know already, or who at least not a complete random total stranger before I went that route!
