Thanks for people who recommended the Escape Pod podcast, on a number of counts.

First, I am looking forward to listening to good scifi while I work, yay!

Second, there is a sister horror podcast, Pseudopod which is also exciting to me!

Third, there is another sister podcast starting up soon, Pod Castle, for fantasy.

And fourth, all of these podcasts accept original pieces for publication - so three potential new venues! And they all accept short little pieces, which could be fun to play with... And of course they pay. so, huzzah!

Ooh, cool... I might think about submitting Pork Princess there, I think it would work particularly well told orally :)

Good call, I think you're right :D

I'm excited about the possibilities here - I tend to hear the voices of my stories and general as I'm writing, so an audio medium is really appealing.

you're welcome :) I was listening to some of it this weekend. I always get caught up when I have car trips somewhere.

Glad you like it. Always happy to spread the Escape pod goodness.

I wasn't sure when Pod Castle was starting, I'll make sure to add that feed to my iTunes.

Are you interested in audio books? If so, try podiobooks.com. There are some good ones on there.
