My computer is losing time.... I suppose it is possible that I accidentally reset it sometime, but when I turned it on this morning, it was an hour behind. It has done this once before.

Who knows what evil lies in the hearts of computers?

Anyway, if you have heavy CPU usage then the computer will ignore clock updates. It would take a huge amount though to cause an hour difference. Have you checked your time zone settings? Maybe windows thinks its time to go on daylight savings or something.

Back in the mists of time, when I actually knew something about computers, a computer loosing time often meant that its Motherboard Clock Battery was dying, and needed to be replaced.

I have the exact opposite problem. My computer gains anywhere from 5 to 40 minutes a day, and will eventually wind up hours ahead. I have solved this by resetting it occasionally and grumbling about how nice it would be if I could fix it.
