Unrelated to deliciousness - creepy creepy ....thing

I was walking to the store the other day, and I saw this..... thing. It was creepy as all get out, especially before i had any idea what it was. I can see why whoever had it initially dumped it! D:

From a distance... Hey what is that weird little thing?

Scarecrow

Closer - Ack!

Scarecrow

And close up!

Scarecrow

It was really, to be exceedingly redundant, very creepy. I poked it with a toe to make sue it really was just made of straw. I wonder if I would have found it so off around Hallowe'en, or if it was extra disconcerting because it was shamelessly out in June in the bright Texas sun?

It is gone now, of course...

They are everywhere!

Saw them here at the market.
Lady called them Whatsits, apparently they're as popular as the "rumps" for your garden (those bent over ladies/gents you stick in the garden), and the time out kids as well.

Dunno... 80$ was a wee bit outta my range, besides, I can dress up nero kids if I want to really freak mundane folks.
