i'm sort of curious, does the canadian politcal spectrum cover the same range as the american one, the same ground if you will, or is it offset a little? I always find the US to be very rightwing.

There are plenty of ultra conservatives in Canada, too. But I do think the political climate is much more moderate in tone than in the US.

Its also important to note that we aren't a two party system. This tends to curtail any one parties power. There is still rampant partisanship, but nothing to the degree of what Bush has done.
