Arr!

Yesterday was much more the celebration of my birthday than today will be, I expect.

Terry and Mo took me to see red dragon, with Hazel and Buck. (I don't feel like using LJ tags today. bite me ;p) It was really really cool! Very well done, I was impressed and happy to have seen it. Also, for the record, it is more of a psycological suspense movie than a gore-fest, so squamish people (That's you. M&I) need not be afraid to go see it if you've got the money. According to hazel (who has read the book) it doens't add much of anything that was new. Except the very end scene, but that is just sort of... well, it makes the trillogy seem more of a complete cycle somehow, being as this is the prequel and all. Excellent performances by all actors involved.

After that, Terry and Mo came back here, and helped me make shepard's pie. With real shepards! ;D We also made a run to various stores for liquor and whatnot for punch. I also inflicted some of my pictures on them. Damn, I have a lot of pictures! :o

Once *that* pie was cooked (Punch and pie! Punch and pie!) we went to Shan's. There we hung out, watched an MST3K video on their twitchy VCR (No Dave, it *wasn't* our tv. Clean your heads! ;p) ate food... some shepards pie, some african chicken thing Shan made, and well... many many desserts! Hazel brought two kinds of dessert pie (coconut cream and mock cherry), Dave made me a chocolate cake with boiled icing, Jodi brought brownieswith optional minty frosting, Bronwen brought a flan, and Matt brought a box of various frozen ice-cream treats :D

All of the above people were present, plus, of course terry and Mo and Buck. Yarr! Dean and Amanda came a bit later and brought cookies :D

So, we watched MST3K, I opened some presents (I got some romace novels for an amusing experiment/game, Neil Gaiman's Coraline, Some cool clothes collected from various second hand stores, and some Boba Fett related Star Wars cards :D And a book I already owned. oops!) We also played Twistetr, where Bronwen reigned supreme, being both young and flexible. Wench butt. And we walked to the bridge and back, because I like the bridge, and it is pretty. It was a bit cold, though, so we didnt' stay too long. And for the record *I* did *NOT* suggest the bridge. It was Bronwen, so blame her.

When we got back from that, I ran an impromptu game of Hungy Hungry Zombies. oh, what a fun game... I think everyone was entertained sufficiently. By the end of it, though, people were starting to doze off, so I had to end it quick. CSIS's crack zombie hunting team made it to halifax, where the lued all the Zombies to one place by suspending their Special Agent Lenny from a helicopter, and then bombed them. hee! Cruel, but appropriate, I think. Lenny did like to say he worked for CSIS ;D

And now I will let Buck check his e-mail so he can stop pacing the kitchen like a caged animal. Arr!
