"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief,
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."

"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.

Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl,
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.

-All Along the Watchtower, Bob Dylan
Incidentally if anyone can send me a copy of said song, that'd be swell :V
location: College Station - home

Ooh, wasn't it cool? It goes right up to the point of being, like...confusing.

But cool!

So frustrating to have to wait months and months for more...

I admit I didn't recognize the song - that was Claire, who freaked right out when she clued in to the quotes...

Okay, so I have the Hendrix version, which rocks, and not the Dylan version (boo!), but the version they played is by someone called BT4, who is apparently the brother of someone connected with BSG and thus is not available through regular music sources, or at least not yet.
Fandom finds a way.
But I will send you the Hendrix, as soon as you give me your email address. Is it hhatch? or should I just send it to elanya@livejournal.com?

I was thoroughly underwhelmed myself. I was really, really hoping Starbuck would stay dead. There are plot holes and inconsistencies... I dunno. It's starting to wobble - I suppose in a year or so we'll find out if it makes sense, or whether they've Lucas'ed themselves into a corner.

It seems quite clear to me that they have a pretty solid vision of where they are going. And Starbuck was never going to stay dead - She was just visiting the underworld along the way on her hero's journey...

Starbuck goes back and forth between being a ridiculous Mary-Sue character and a big mess. Big Messes can be interesting - but in her case, she keeps having the same conflict over and over again, and never learns or progresses as a character. As a result, her schtick was interesting the first season, and progressively less so - to the point where it was incredibly tired. I had really hoped she'd be dead - though it was a forlorn hope, to be sure.
