So, apparently, my apartment complex got HIT BY A TORNADO the other day. So, the only real things I'm worried about are my books. Mostly. I e-mailed the complex to see what info I can get, but, ummm.... yeah, so that sucks, eh? Glad to have been home, and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] tethys123 for the heads up :o And at least I don't live on the second floor :o

Oh, thank God. I've been looking your sister up online trying to find some sort of telephone number for you. If you need a temporary place to stay, you can stay at my place. We'll either make up the futon for you or blow up the air mattress. I'm back in town on the 13th.

Okay. Have talked to LeeAnne, who has talked to David, who is still in BCS. LeeAnne says that David is going to drive around and check things out. She also wants you to call/email if you need someone who is still in BCS to go check on your place and/or get some of your stuff out. So yeah. That's where we are. The girl in the picture with the roof torn off was in number 334. Is that your building?

Ok. Just talked to Sarah, who is also still in BCS. She went by your place, and if your number is 329, like I thought it was, she says your building got hit really hard. She says the front is boarded up, and it's dark inside so your ceiling is intact, but the roof is off the building, so if it rains your stuff might not be safe. She also said that if you want, she will move the stuff out of your apartment to her place so that it won't get ruined. She wants you to call as soon as poss. to let her know what you want. Her # is 979-207-4803.

Sorry; I'd call you with all this stuff, but this seems to be the best way to get ahold of you at present.

The number here is 506-622-6061... I tried calling Sarah at the number you gave but it is telling me it is invalid :(

That would be because I'm an idiot and her number is 979-204-4803. I did call her and give her your #, but I think you should try to get her tonight, if you can.

Yeah, I remembered that LeeAnne had it and called her :) I left a message for Sarah, but I couldn't get a hold of her. I'll try again tomorrow, I guess :o I can't call the leasing office until then anyway.

Ha! I just realized that I gave you my dad's number, bah. That should be 506 455-2062. I still haven't gotten a hold of Sarah or anyone at the complex though. Stupid timezones :p

Ok. Deep breath. Sarah is at your apartment building. The building is completely condemned, and they will be finding you a new apartment either in the complex or elsewhere. You need to call the leasing office number to give Sarah (or whoever you wish) permission to move your things from your apartment to the new place. They are moving others out as we speak because they want to get everything out before it rains again. Sarah says that as soon as she gets permission she'll get David and whatever professors are around together to move your things to the new place, if you want.

Thanks sooooo much D: I had no contact info for any CS people. I can't get a hold of the office until tomorrow, unfortunately, but I'll call Sarah tonight. I am in 328, though, so if I'm really lucky, maybe it won't be as bad -_-

Well, that's good. Any luck with the CD case? I'm thinking of buying one tomorrow if not. I seem to have an overabundance of DVDs....

I haven't actually had a chance to do any looking around yet, but was hoping to go to the mall tomorrow - after I get this whole 'house hit by a tornado' thing a bit more sorted. Do you still want me to look for some of the nice ones?

It would be awesome if you think you have the time, but I'm sure I could live without. :p

no, I'll have time before I leave for sure! I promise I will look! I was hoping they carried them at Zellars where a friends of mine works (employee discount!), but no luck :/

Aiieee! Well, at least you weren't there... But still, that's awful. I hope they can retrieve your stuff safely and there isn't too much damage to your books and things. Do you have your computer with you?
