It started raining this afternoon around... well, I'm not sure exactly when, but by 5, it was raning *hard*. I went to LeeAnne and earis's place for supper before goig back to school. We got pretty soaked just gettign to the bus stop. The dispatcher called our driver to tell her that some of the stops were flooded and she wouldn't be able to stop at them. we both took off our shoes before getting off the bus, and a good thing too, because we wound up wading though water *up to our knees* on the short walk to the apartment. Did I mention that my umbrella was broken, and also that I'd brought my laptop? I managed to keep the electronics dry, in any case. Clothes were another matter, but I borrowed some, thankfully!

We went back to school and worked until 9-9:30, then went over to O'Bannon's, the local Irish-esque pub to see some of the other department peeps. People who were trying to leave kept asking me about pirates, the fools! Eventually they did escape ;)

It is still raining hard. It let up a litle bit once or twice, but hasnt completely stopped. It also rained stupid hard on Monday, and because the drainage here is terrible (read nonexistant - the clay table is only about 6" below the ground surface here), the ground was already pretty saturated. Tomorrow ought to be fun! I am planning to buy a pair of rain boots and a better umbrella.

I also need to remember that I have a doctor's appointment at 10:15, and need to be 15 min early.

I feel bad that I have't posted any new writings this week, but I'm almost done one Shadows bit, about a third of the way into another ($(&^%( Log conversion :p), and have been working on The Cursed Wreck off an on as well, so I am writing, just not finishing anything! Depending on how things go at school tomorrow, I may take tomorrow evening to just work on writing.
