Stuff is happening!
Some good, some bad. Well, okay, mostly good, except that I suddenly can't get my desktop to work. I have vague recollections of being able to boot it when I tried it out last week, but when I actually wanted to look stuff up on it yesterday, no luck. Fortunately if I can get it in to CIS here, they can look at it for me, and for free. Since I do have the laptop, it doesn't matter that it will probably take a while.
This gives me less incentive to go out today and get that crossover adapter, though!
I am still going out today though. Tonight I am going out for bad Mexican food (I'm not sure if it is really bad, or what - guess I'll find out!) and margaritas (after enough of which, the food quality will cease to matter) with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
daemonnoire, and possibly some other folks? I'm not clear on that part,. We shall see. She is someone that i was put in touch with via fionasidhe, though i'm not sure of the exact route there :0 In any case, I am looking forward to meting some locals with similar interests!
Tomorrow (and I am trying to drill this into my brain) is my departmental orientation, at 1:30, at the anth department building, not sure what room though. So I will get to met the other students. I'm kinda nervous for that, i admit.... We will see how tings go! I also need to see if I can find my theory course syllabus from ECU to compare with the theory course here. Although really, my theory course at ECU sucked ass, so if they do make me repeat it, i won't cry too hard. It was the only class I got a B in. Bah!
So that is my life. Now I will eat another scone, take a shower, and see how much writing I can eek out this afternoon :)
