Great Geekery!

I had to remake one of my D&D characters because his homegrown prestige class prereqs changed. This also meant changing around his animal companion/companion mount. He is a 12th level character, and counting all his various bits, his horse is a 9th level companion. I just wanted you all to see the most ridiculous horse ever ;)

First, for comparison, take a normal light horse

And then we have Jack Frost (white/grey dappled gelding with grey mane, white streaks ;)

Damn, maybe I need to do Nante's stats!

Heh, Nantes won't be anywhere near as beefy, even if you cheat and start with the light warhorse template ;p He is a nice enough horse I *suppose*, but he's no Jack Frost :V

I'm not sure how Jack, who is lower level than Nante, could possibly be tougher than Nante. Am I missing something? Val is level 14! Or do you get a bonus because of your ranger levels?

Jack is actually 5 levels higher than Nantes.

You take your Espada level, and half that, and that is the HD of your animal companion. Sincthree levels to e Val is an 8th level Espada, Nantes would be 4th. You compare that to the chart in the druid section to se what other enhancements you get, but otherwise they get 1 skill point for every hit ie above base, they get ability increases evey 4 levels, and feats every 3 (horses start at 3 hd though, so Nantes won't get another one until Val is a 12th level Espada).

Noren's ranger and espada levels stack, giving him a base of 6 at level 12, and he also has a feat that adds 3 levels to his animal companion. Et voila - a 9 hd horse :D Hardcore!

It's Nante. Get it straight!

Sorry, it is hard for me to remember the names of lesser animals :D

I think your Base attack is wrong. And you should make sure your adding your +4 to your grapple for being a large creature.
