As some of you are aware, Rob lives in what is basically an alley, although it is called an avenue. There is construction going on across the way, as I know I have mentioned before, and renovations taking place on his building. The smallness of he alley means all sound originates quite close by, and also al of the buildings are made of brick. Therefore it is pretty much impossible not to hear what is going on outside the windows, which face the alley. Anyway, last night I had the curtains open and the blinds drawn/down to let in more air, as it was a time of day that there wasn't much activity, and therefore not much sound. I was eating dinner, and playing Five Kingdoms.

This Asian kid (around 10, I'd guess) bikes by, and stares in the window at me, for like a minute. I look out and see him. I say 'Hi!" He says "...hi!" back, and continues staring. A moment later he continues on, and his female adult accompaniment (she looked a little old to be his mom, but she could have been a grandparent or an aunt maybe) follows and peers in as well. How bizarre, I think! I was wearing a black dress, nothing extremely provocative, and I'm otherwise just sitting on the bed, typing, and listening to music. How is this remarkable?

This morning, maybe about an hour ago now, as I am getting out of bed and such, I hear an argument in Chinese (maybe, I am not going to put any money on my ability to distinguish between various Asian languages apart from Japanese). Well not so much an argument... it is mainly an older guy speaking loudly (scolding) to this same kid, again, right outside my window. How entirely bizarre... was he geting scolded for staring in people's windows? Or is there more to it?

I don't know what I am up to today. Maybe something Canada day-esque. Maybe we will not! Who knows!
