Holy hot damn tonights session was *awesome*. It went absolutely nothing like what the GM had planned.

Last week, there was a 'hobo' who asked our group to go rough up some local noble snots who'd been harassing us, and he might have some information about a guy we were looking for. OOG, I suspected that this was in fact the guy we were looking for in disguise, but sol didn't. Sol just thought it was a stupid idea, and that we should hunt around for info on our own, or charm/otherwise coerce the hobo to tell us. Of course I'm in a party with some goody-goodies, who wanted to help the hobo out. I grinned and bore it.

This week, we went into the town to gather info and whatnot. We went to a nice fancy Inn. there was expensive ales and good steak, and entertainment and life was grand. I found out who the guys were, where they lived, etc, and was starting to have a nice evening. Apparently these nobles were sort of a wild crowd, whatever. The most chaotic good guy in the party wanted to act immediately - we are in sort of a hurry to find this guy. So he went to the home to see if they were there, or out hunting, and came back later without having much success. Sol was happy in his warm posh hunting lodge. But would things end there? No, they would not.

A little while later a servant came from the house, recognizable to Thalivert (CG dude) by his livery, basically ordering takeout. A plan is conceived to waylay him, and have someone take his place to deliver the food and try and lure the nobles out. I had a great, wonderful *awesome* plan. I have disguise self, and charm person. I looked like the guy (and took his keys), I charmed the nobles when I delivered their food and then placed the lure: A one night only performance by hot dancing girls from Amn. They fell for it hook line and sinker. I told them it was in about half an hour - just enough time for them to freshen up a bit and change out of their armor, as they'd just recently returned from hunting.

Then came the foil. My plan was too perfect. the GM had to foil it somehow. So he did so by having me run into the father of the household, a grizzled old *Wizard*, just as I was leaving. He was displeased to see a servant out an about when he should have been. I tried to charm him but he made his save. He grabed me by the arm with the intention of marching me back to wherever I was supposed to be. However, my Disguise self was running out, and I didn't have time to stick around... Otherwise I'd have played it out and escaped later. Anyway, I break his grip and run, hiand hide for a bit upstaitrs, he calls the sons to search for me. the fail to find me initially, and while they are searching the rest of the house, I try to make my escape,. however I fail my Move Silently horribly, and am made! This makes Sol very unhappy, but he manages to escape and make it back to the party. I am now going to be considered a thief and a mugger in this town, and am very *very* annoyed by this.

Thalivert then suggests that we go back to the house, even though it is guarded and loot the place, and take some shit to give the hobo so that he can move on somewhere better. Of course what he is really after is the wizard's spellbook, but he doesn't tell me that ;) Sol reluctantly agrees to this, and we rob the place blind (no spellbook, alas). While we are laying low on a rooftop (irony?), we see the hobo get dragged off to the noble's house. so now what?

We go back to his wagon to hide out and plan - he is our only *possible* lead to this guy, and we have now spent a day more in this town than we wanted. I search through his stuff and find.... the clothes Gideon was wearing. Sol swears impressively, much to the GM's delight/ Of course, Sol was sent to work for this guy, but he brushed me off when I tried to make contact and has done nothing but screw Sol over sever since :p Not that the other characters have any inkling of this. Anyway.

We need to know what the nobles are doing with Gideon. The plan conceived is this: the Dwarf (cleric of a neutral god of secrets and secret knowledge and metal and underground shit) will pass himself off as a bounty hunter. He was seen with us, but he told people he just met us on the road. Whatever. the local guards disapprove of vigilanteism, and he goes to see the noble, who offers him a reward for us alive.

Next, he 'will bring us in' to these guys, and collect the money, and we will try to convince the nobles that the hobo is a threat to him. *I* suggest selling this story to the guard, but the others don't think they would be receptive. Whatever. I am pretty confident in my own ability to escape if needed. We are brought in, and Thalivert and I (the "prisoners" are led away and locked in some empty rooms. I have some things concealed on my person, but they find my dagger and take it, so I am unarmed.

Dora (the dwarf), is fed (*FED!*) and interrogated briefly by the wizard. Of course the food is poisoned, and he gets a 4 on the fort roll the gm makes. He realizes things are off when he starts feeling woozy, yells out "The Jig is up!" quickdraws his maul and smashes the wizard in the face for 7 hp. It was cool. the he falls unconscious for the next six hours. Did I mention that he is our big burly fighter? *sigh* Thalivert is a rogue/swashbuckler :p

At his alarm, I pick my lock and sneak off to hid. With less subtlety, Thalivert starts banging on his door until the guards (the sons), come to shut him up. He had two weapon concealed on his person. He escapes put of the room and tries to get back to the dwarf, but the wizard gets off hold person. He is bound (but poorly). The wizard swears by mask, and calls Gideon (the 'hobo/guy we are after)to come deal with his mess. Things are looking grim for Thalivert and Dorak. meanwhile, Sol drinks a potion of invisibility, and plots what to do ext. the answer is clearly arson. He sets some shit on fire, and smashes an oil lam in the hall where the wizard and Gideon bicker about whose fault this is and what to do next. Thalivert, finally saves against the spell, and stealthily frees himself from the bindings. The next round, he grabs his weapons and kills the wizard (who he'd already hit before being held). Gideon is right on the other side of him...

And that's where we left off. The two sons are still around, Thalivert has no free escape route (he can go through Gideon or the two sons) - the Dwarf is in another part of the house (just past gideon), and unconscious for the next few hours. Sol is invis and sneaking out the window.

Yeah baby, that's the shit ^-^
Mood:: 'amused' amused

And now you'll be accessory to a murder, too. Not to mention an arsonist. ;)
