So, I knew I wouldn't be able to rest until I had his all figured out properly. So I just took a couple minutes with my PHB and the d20 SRD page, specifically looking at the write up on bane weapons.
So here we go, then, it's time to Look at Noren's attacks and damage.
First, the basic info
Levels: Ranger 6, Espada (mini-paladin ;) 2.
Favoured enemies: undead, orcs
Base attack: 8/3
Str: 16, Dex 16, so conveniently all his attacks will be the same ;)
Weapons: +1 undead Bane longsword, +1 hand axe
So, on to the good stuff, in order of excitement!
Melee attacks:
One handed: 11/6
Primary hand - 9/4
Off-hand – 9/1
With the weapons he has now that becomes:
P:10/5 and O:10/2
Fighting undead, it becomes
P:12/7 and O:10/2, or 13/8 with just the bane sword 1 handed.
The damage, generally will be 1d8+1 for the sword, +3 str = 1d8+4 = minimum damage of 5, max damage of 12
For the axe: 1d6+1, +3 str = 1d6+4 = min damage of 5, max damage of 10
If I hit on all my attacks, minimum damage is 20, max damage is 40.
Versus orcs:
Sword: 1d8+1, +3 str, +2 ranger = 1d8+6 = minimum damage of 7, max damage of 14
Axe: 1d6+1, +3 str, +2 ranger = 1d6+6 = minimum damage of 7, max damage of 12
If I hit on all attacks: min damage of 28, max damage of 52.
Versus undead:
Sword: 1d8+1, +2d6 for bane, +3 str, +4 ranger = 1d8 + 2d6 + 8, = minimum damage of 11, max damage of 28
Axe: 1d6+1, +3 str, +4 ranger = 1d6+8 = minimum damage of 9, max damage of 14
So, if I hit on all my attacks, I have a minimum damage of 40, max damage of 94.
Yes, it is a good thing that I have to go take a shower anyway. that isn't even considering how that changes when he is fighting on horseback, where he ca make a charge attack versus an undead creature and wind up with an attack score of 15, and minimum damage for the one hit goes up to 22 and max to 56, nor does it include the fact that one of our druids is pretty generous to me with her bull's strength spells...
